David Doersch lives in the mountains of North Carolina with his wife, Cathy and their two cats, Harriet and Winnifred. Ensconced in his living room, writing, surrounded by the unrivaled beauty of the Smoky Mountains, one would imagine it to be a quiet life. But in addition to being an author, David is a fight director and stunt coordinator for live action spectacles, a touring musician playing bagpipes with his Celtic Rock band, and a theatrical director, specializing in the works of Shakespeare.

All of these competing interests try to pull him away from Daffyd and the adventures of Corvus. But then Winnifred curls up on his lap, purring, and he simply surrenders once again to the call of the Green Mount.
