Michelle, Chelle's Book Ramblings
"This author knows how to write a fight scene...it honestly impressed me. Especially one on one fights are brilliant, each being unique and creative with the stakes high and present at all times."

Book I, The Gathering Storm
The world of Hortus was a beautiful, garden-like world shaped by the hands of six god-like figures, populated with flora, fauna and people from ancient Earth. For centuries, peace and tranquility reigned, the lands enchanted, protected and overseen by four powerful tors, known as the Gates. But the keys to the Gates were lost - some say stolen - in the forgotten mists of antiquity, reducing the beneficent powers of the tors and allowing the potential for evil and avarice to flourish. Now those sinister forces rise and threaten to capture and control the powers of the tors - which can only be accessed at the moment of transference once every five hundred years.
Chronicles of the Raven
The highlands of Daffyd
The majority of the action of Book I centers on the island continent of Daffyd. Within Daffyd are the four countries of the Lowlands: Sudland, Lachland, Aesthir and Mardin, and the four highland territories known collectively as The Green Mount: The Glenfolk, Midlands, White Cleft and the High Valley. At the juncture of the territories of the Glenfolk, Midlands and White Cleft, stands the Tor - ancient, mysterious, wrapped in legend and lore.
Book II, The Fury
As Ligulf and Mama Warad race to reach the Tor before the Angor Shaman, Blood Tooth, and his assassins, Corvus and the armies of the Green Mount face the bloodied but still determined horde of mounted, savage Barbárs. Meanwhile, Princess Darienne and Captain Kaiso face challenges to Lachland, from both within and without and Maddie’s story is revealed. In Cantabria, the island that is the capital and seat of power for both the Church of the Five, and the dreaded Blades of Sebastian, Scribe Briguglio - a meek servant of the Church working in the office of the Exchequer - meets with Field Marshal Farric, the charismatic leader of the Blades, to explore the past and what it might mean for the future. All is but a Fool’s game, as Latrans, the enigmatic and capricious man in motley, seems to somehow be directing events and pulling the strings on which the others dance.
